VARAHI storefront — Obsidian Signal design system

# VARAHI

**VARAHI** is a Shopify theme for merchants who sell considered, expensive products — audio hardware, precision instruments, flagship tech — where the product deserves more than a white background and a button.

Most themes treat a premium product the way a grocery store treats a premium product: a square image, a title, a price, an add-to-cart. VARAHI treats it like the story it is. It ships a cinematic product page, a scroll-driven engineering teardown, an interactive companion-app showcase, and a buy box engineered to close.

>
> Bulk-pack pricing, in-drawer upsells, live cart feedback, and scarcity signals that work without feeling like a dark pattern.

> Scroll-scrubbed product teardowns and hero choreography — disabled automatically on mobile so the phone experience stays instant.

> 18 colour tokens, an 8-step type scale, and a spacing/radius/motion scale that everything else inherits.

## Who VARAHI is for

> **[Premium audio](https://varaahi.vritservicespro.com/sections/hero-product.md)**
>
> Brands selling headphones, speakers, and hi-fi gear where spec sheets are a selling point, not an afterthought.

> **[Flagship tech](https://varaahi.vritservicespro.com/sections/comparison-table.md)**
>
> Products with a compare table, a benchmark, and an app — where the *why* is what closes the sale.

> **[Design-led goods](https://varaahi.vritservicespro.com/sections/bento-features.md)**
>
> Anything where a considered aesthetic, a strong hero, and a confident buy box are the difference between a sale and a bounce.

> [!NOTE]
>
> VARAHI is **opinionated**. The palette, the type, the motion language, and the section set are designed as one system. You can change the values — every colour, font and spacing decision is a token you own — but the theme is at its best when you tune within the system rather than replace it.

## What makes VARAHI different

Most Shopify themes are templates. VARAHI is a **designed system** with the conversion mechanics built in. Here is the honest comparison.

| Capability | Typical theme | VARAHI |
| - | - | - |
| Product storytelling | One image gallery, one description field | Hero, scroll-scrubbed engineering teardown, benchmark table, companion app, reviews |
| Buy box | Add to cart, maybe a quantity stepper | Variant + colour swatches, quantity stepper, bulk-pack tier with live savings, scarcity meter, trust row |
| Cart experience | Full page redirect, or a drawer with a list | Slide-out drawer, line-item live update, cross-sell upsells, free-shipping progress, polite screen-reader announcements |
| Motion | One generic fade-in on scroll | Choreographed entrances, ambient loops, pinned scroll-scrub — and automatically off on mobile |
| Performance budget | Not documented, easy to break | 88 mobile Lighthouse, documented budgets, mobile-safe defaults |
| Design system | Hard-coded hex values scattered across sections | 18 colour tokens, 8-step type scale, unified spacing, radius, motion and z-index scales |

## The three things to do first

**1. Set your colours**

Open **Online Store → Themes → Customize → Colors** and set your primary, secondary and background colours. Every surface in the theme derives from these three. See [Color system](https://varaahi.vritservicespro.com/settings/colors.md).

**2. Choose your hero product**

The **Hero Product** section is the centrepiece of the homepage. Point it at your flagship product and it will build the buy box, the scarcity meter and the price display for you. See [Hero Product](https://varaahi.vritservicespro.com/sections/hero-product.md).

**3. Lay out the home page**

Add and reorder sections. VARAHI ships with a recommended order that tells a coherent story: hero → features → architecture → app → comparison → reviews. See [Quickstart](https://varaahi.vritservicespro.com/quickstart.md).
