Product discovery

A shopper who cannot find a product will not buy it. VARAHI gives you four discovery surfaces, and they all share one search index: Shopify’s own.
Search modal

Search modal with live results

A modal that opens on click, focuses the input, and returns results as the shopper types.
Search queries go to Shopify’s search/suggest.json endpoint, which respects your store’s published products, collections and Search & Discovery filters. If you install a third-party search app, the app’s own modal usually replaces this one.

Faceted filtering

The collection sidebar and mobile filter drawer are driven by your store’s filter configuration. See Collection page for the full filter breakdown. The mobile drawer shows a live count of matching products on the “Show results” button, so a shopper always knows how much the filter is narrowing things down before they commit.

The mega menu

Up to four levels of nesting, opened on hover in the header.
Four levels is a maximum, not a target. Most mega menus die at two. If you find yourself using level three or four, the information architecture is usually the problem, not the menu.
The dropdown opens on hover for desktop and on click. Click support means touch devices and keyboard users are not locked out, and it means the menu does not open accidentally when the pointer passes over it.

Quick add

The collection grid’s product cards carry a quick-add button that adds the product’s default variant to the cart without leaving the page.
Quick add respects inventory. If the variant is out of stock, the button is disabled rather than failing silently at the cart.

The wishlist

A browser-local wishlist.
Be clear with your customers about what the wishlist does. If you send a “you saved 3 items” email, the shopper expects it to follow them to another device. It does not. If you want that, install a wishlist app.

Recommendations

“Related products” driven by Search & Discovery rules is far more effective than Shopify’s default “same collection” behaviour. Tag your products properly and set up a rule for “also bought” and “complements” — that is where the cross-sell revenue actually comes from.
