Lighthouse SEO audit — 92
What the theme handles
Metadata
The
og:image falls back to your favicon when no social share image is set.
That is a 32-pixel image scaled to 1200–630, and it looks broken. Set a real social image — see Branding.Structured data
Shopify generates the product, article, and organisation JSON-LD. The theme renders semantic HTML — oneh1, correctly nested headings, article and nav landmarks — which is what the schema refers to.
Image SEO
Performance as an SEO factor
Core Web Vitals are a ranking input. The techniques in Performance — no layout shift, an un-gated LCP element, mobile without motion — are as much an SEO decision as a speed one. What you are responsible for
1. Write a meta description
Online Store → Preferences → Meta description. Shopify appends it to every page that has no description of its own.2. Write real product descriptions
The theme renders your description as-is. The Description override in the Hero Product section is for the homepage; the product’s own description is what appears on the product page and in search results.3. Use one H1 per page
The Hero Product’s title is theh1 on the homepage. Product titles are the h1 on
product pages. Do not add your own h1 in a rich text block.
4. Optimise image filenames and alt text
IMG_2847.jpg and not “headphones”.
5. Set a canonical domain
Settings → Domains — mark one domain as canonical. The theme outputs<link rel="canonical"> automatically.
6. Write meaningful link text
Screen readers and search engines both read link text out of context. “Read our shipping policy” beats “click here”.The SEO checklist
VARAHI’s SEO score of 92 out of 100 is limited by exactly two things: a missing
store meta description and an empty
og:image. Both are fixed in under two minutes.Performance
