Cart page
The Cart page template renders the same cart logic as the drawer, on a full page. Some markets and some product categories — large furniture, high-value items, wholesale — work better with a full-page cart.
Cart page with line items and order summary
When to use it
The drawer and the cart page share the same JavaScript and the same line-item
component. A shopper can add to the cart in the drawer, then click “view cart” and
see the same state — nothing is duplicated or lost.

Tips
Keep the discount field visible
Keep the discount field visible
Merchants often hide it to reduce visual clutter. On a cart page it is expected,
and discount codes are frequently already in the shopper’s clipboard from an email
or a retargeting ad.
Do not customise the checkout
Do not customise the checkout
Shopify’s checkout is not editable. Everything you can influence — cart contents, discount codes, shipping thresholds — has to happen before the handoff.
The order summary should be sticky on desktop
The order summary should be sticky on desktop
On a cart page with many line items, a sticky summary column means the total is
always visible. It is a small detail that measurably reduces abandonment.
