FAQ

No. Cart, search, wishlist, filters, mega menu, bulk packs, and every section work on a stock Shopify store. Two optional apps unlock more: Search & Discovery (Shopify’s own, free) enables metafield filters and related-product rules, and a review app such as Judge.me or Loox populates the reviews section.
The Hero Product section needs a product. Check that Product is set, and that the product you selected still exists — if it was deleted, VARAHI falls back to the first product in your store automatically, but you should re-point the setting so it does not change unexpectedly.
Theme settings → Colors. You only need to set the primary, secondary and background. Every other surface derives from them. See Color system.
Yes, but it is more involved than changing a colour. VARAHI’s type system depends on Inter and JetBrains Mono metrics. See Typography for the four steps, and re-check the type scale afterwards.
The Material Symbols font is a subset. It contains exactly the 44 glyphs the theme uses. Any other name renders as its raw word. The full list is in Code reference, and the fix is to add your glyph to the subset.
Your logo wordmark is too long for the available width. Shorten the logo text, remove the sub-text, or switch to a logo image — an image scales down automatically, a long text wordmark does not.
By design. Below 1024px the entire motion bundle is not downloaded, which is what keeps mobile pages fast. See Performance.
Correct, and it is by design. The wishlist is stored in the shopper’s own browser via localStorage. A server-side, cross-device wishlist needs an app.
The bulk tier is a presentation layer. It sets the quantity and shows the per-unit price and the saving. If your bulk pack needs to be a separate SKU with its own inventory and price, use a bundles app. See Hero Product.
Expected. The dev server compiles Liquid on every request, serves assets uncompressed, and injects about 3 MB of Shopify development tooling that does not exist on a published store. Audit the published store. See Performance.
You can, but read Code reference first. Editing existing section files is what creates upgrade conflicts. Prefer new files, and keep custom CSS in a single assets/custom.css.
Settings → Languages → Add language, then copy the theme locale into it. The full walkthrough is in Localization guide.
Filtering is driven by the Search & Discovery app and your product metafields. Install and configure Search & Discovery, then define your filters.
The section reads from product metafields. Check that your review app writes to reviews.rating, reviews.rating_count and reviews.content. See Product reviews.
Theme-editor changes survive updates. Code changes do not, and your theme will be flagged as customised. Keep custom code in separate files so re-applying it takes minutes. See Installation.
It is already removed. VARAHI has no announcement bar — the header begins the page directly.
